The duties of the protective manager

  • Receiving your ongoing protected (onderbewindgesteld) income and assets


  • Checking whether your income does not fall below the confiscation-free rate (beslagvrije voet)


  • Checking whether you are eligible for income support measures


  • Implementing the action plan drawn up by us


  • Making payments in accordance with the drawn-up budget plan


  • Payment arrangements for late payment or manageable debts


  • Preparing and guiding you with debt counselling (informal or by law (WNSP))


  • Tax return box 1


  • Municipal tax cancellation requests


  • Requesting special subsidies (bijzondere bijstand)


  • Applying for housing subsidy (huurtoeslag) and healthcare subsidy (zorgtoeslag)


  • Regular acts with regard to the assets placed under administration


  • Regular contact with you on the basis of the agreements made, contact by telephone and e-mail, or sending a financial monthly overview letter


  • Going with you to sessions of the subdistrict court


  • Providing the annual account and justification (Rekening en Verantwoording) to the subdistrict court


  • Maintaining contact with the various institutions you deal with when it comes to your ongoing protected income and assests


  • Handling and/or forwarding of your mail


  • Writing to creditors



  • Starting debt counselling or registering for WSNP


  • Prevention of – or if that fails, assistance with – eviction
